Written August 2013: We tripped up to Anderson University to attend “Colts City” at the Colts Training Camp before their season got started. The schedule is listed on the colts website HERE with dates and times of the practice and Colts City hours. There is no fee to attend, but there is a $5 parking fee on the AU campus.
It was easy to get there as we took I-69 up to Anderson and made our way to the 8th Street area. We parked on the grass and walked about a half mile to the entrance of the exhibit and practice. You are NOT allowed to carry in a bag or purse, so check their bag policy before you attend. Our kiddos loved it, even though we attended with some rain and cloudy skies. It was worth the trip and with better weather, we would have stayed longer! Make this an annual stop on your late-summer calendar of events. Go Colts!
We posed for a picture at the Toyota booth and they gave us free sunglasses, too!
The inflatables were drying out from the rains, but we were quite anxious to jump in. They were closed on our visit, but it looked like a blast!
Free sunglasses….thanks Toyota!
There are many vendors, music, interactive booths and of course a food truck!
A peek inside a military truck!
The NFL Play 60 obstacle course was closing down due to the rain, but on a nice day, this would have been a fabulous spot!
There are lots of vendors set up with option to win free gear or spin-to-win interactive booths!
Everyone likes a FREE sample of ice cream!
Of course, you get to watch the Colts in action! Our crew enjoyed a few snacks in the stands while the team was on the field. We lasted a whole 7 minutes up there….we’re better on the move!
We could use our Autograph Book that they gave us to get Cheerleaders’ signatures!
Take your bucks to do some shopping in the Gear Shop! Blue is everywhere!
My Colts fans each picked out a key chain with their name on it…not a bad find at $5 each!
The practices run for about 20 days and “Colts City” is open for about half of those. Check the schedule below before you go….but it’s worth the trip!
